Sorry the scanner killed this drawing too. Made it look pixelated and granulated. Oh well. It looks smoother in real life except for background.
Yippee I'm actually done!!! I worked very long on it, actually the whole day for yesterday. Yes I even continue working on it at night. Maybe its just I'm a little to proud of it that's why.lol
Nah after I've put the background in (clouds) I've felt I've ruined it because I have no reference. I was trying to achieve a soft effect but I think it looks like mush. But I really, do like the dragon. By the way this is not those traditional chinese dragon. You can tell because it only has two limbs and its weird head.
But I was trying to make it an imperial dragon. Those are the dragons that only emperors could wear in the old time. If any body else wears it they would be killed. See how dragons are important in the old time???
Wow, the dragon is beautiful. I love the pose and its detail. But the only problem is the background. Not because it looks like mush, it just looks like its missing something. But i love the pic overall. ^^
Thank you for the critique, but I can't fix it anymore, the paper I use to just normal paper. They are very smooth and can't hold that much chalk. I've ruined this picture when I thought it'll be my best. I should stop drawing backgrounds.
yeah i know ^^ But its good anyway. And dont stop doing backgrounds. Practice will boost your confidence in doing backgrounds ^^ I also suck at backgrounds, but Im dont stop doing em XD.
Those thin sharpie. I'm trying to find a thinner one though. My parents actually liked it and asked me to do more lineart. The problem with sharpie is that if you hold it to long you'll get a blotch. Try it on a test paper to get a hold of it first. That's what I did. Hope I've helped.
NOOO!!! Why did you do that??? Okay just kidding I know you dropped it by accident. Oh yeah I forgot to metion first scrape of the wax of the color pencil area that you want to lineart. If you don't you'll ruined the sharpie. I killed two sharpies by the way before I actually look at the tip to see why it wasn't working.lol I'm so smart.
A continuation of my unexpectedly-popular guide on Mary Sue prevention. Feedback and support is completely welcomed! Thank you all for your support so far.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
